I just wanted to let you know that the Biltong arrived at my son's U.S. military base in Italy in fantastic condition, with absolute efficiency! It was nice getting personal emails from you, and not having to navigate some of the other suppliers' websites. My son said the Biltong tasted just as he remembered from his days in Durbs! We know many people (especially our American friends who have spent time in South Africa) who miss that special taste, and we will certainly be sharing your website with them. We are so excited to have received an email with your list of meats and biltong Boere etc. Just to say hello to all you other Rhodesians out there. Please Eileen and Ron if you have a list of all events around the country of get togethers please would you be so kind as to let us know as well. We have been here in the UK 2 years and still have not managed to make connection with people but we would love to join in and do a bit of camping in the summer when there always good get togethers. Stuart is so sorry that he didn't get back in time. Not only was (and still is) his chef off sick, but his KP didn't turn up either, so he was on his own there and mopping the floors at 11.15!! I have shown him these pictures and he reckons you look good and very professional. He said he would be very glad to have you back there if you wanted to at any time. He promises faithfully he will be there no matter what! He does still want the Impala Wors, what sort of plan can we make to get them to him?
Anyway, won't rabbit on, just wanted to say thank you and hope the attached pics are OK.

Well sorry for the delay in getting back to you ,but would just like to say here is my e-mail address, and thanks for a great night the other saturday it was a blast shame we had to leave before the music started ,and looking forward to next months where i still have to try one of them burgers .it was also nice to meet other rhodesians and south africans there.

Thanks for the updates from the "Flamelily", really gets me salivating and feeling homesick. My wife Carol and I are presently living in Norway, where there is not the slightest trace of anything resembling boerewors or biltong. That picture of a hamburger you have also reminds me of those famous ones they sold at "The Hamburger Hut" on Samora Machel Ave in Harare….. Carol's family are still farming (just) outside Harare in the Enterprise area, my family have moved to NZ where there are quite a number of Zimbabweans. I think we must be some of the world's northernmost Zimbabweans…living just east of Tromsø, nearly 70 degrees north. My grandparents were actually from Torquay and my aunt lives in their house on Southfield Ave…..maybe it's quite close to where you are….

Sorry for you that the weather was not too grand for your mobile boerewors/biltong launch. The public don't know what they missed!
I am on a few days off at present but shall look into trying to get the Western Morning News interested in an article about you especially as you use local produce.
You mentioned that you were originally from Salisbury. What school did you attend? I went to Mt. Pleasant High. It looked somewhat different when I was last on a visit in '99.
I look forward to seeing you again and buying some of your boerewors, which, if half as good as the biltong, should be excellent!

Just had to drop a quick line re the extra garlicky wors that was delivered last week to Macc as part of the Nuttall/Booysen order.
It is the absolute dogs do dahs of wors. Had a few friends around yesterday and they all complained like heck that the smell in the fridge was choking with garlic etc but once on the braai the smell drew everyone, lips smacking and drooling. It tasted as good as it smelt and everyone was amazed. Two more pomm converts to wors. However made the mistake of not wrapping the last uneaten bit prior to storing in the fridge. At 04.45 this morning when evicting the bed warmer as I left for work she made the mistake of opening the fridge door. The language out of her mouth was choice to say the least...... but the fridge was rank lmfao. Lesson learned there hey.
So a great sub species of wors there Ron. The extra garlicky special. We love it mate.

The good news is that it tastes great, the bad news is after 10 years not eating the stuff I overdid it and now cannot move my jaw muscles.
In true fashion I took some down the bar last night, cut some pieces off for the troops, waited till they popped it in their mouths and then described how it's made.
It was like watching the "who can pull the best orgasm face" after that!!

Righty-ho. Parcel arrived here Thursday. We weren't at home so they delivered yesterday - Friday. Nothing touched, opened or broken.
